Pilot actions in selected pilot areas have been implemented to improve efficiency and effectiveness of water supply, reduce water losses and improve water resources management, its quality and quantity as well as contribute to the integration of good practices in the future. Nine pilot actions have been formed in a way to address critical points of water resources and water supply systems in transboundary context of Adriatic area. Their aim has been to optimize the function of the water supply systems – especially leakage reduction and improve the quality of the supplied drinkable water - as well as to develop the method for sea-water intrusion limitation.
